Who Could Qualify?
The proposal would establish an earned pathway to US permanent residency for eligible Dreamers—undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children—as well as certain DACA recipients, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, and beneficiaries of Deferred Enforced Departure (DED). Applicants would be required to satisfy eligibility conditions, including continuous residence in the U.S., background checks, and education, military service, or employment requirements. Most successful applicants would first receive conditional permanent resident status before becoming eligible for a full Green Card.

At this stage, the legislation does not change existing immigration rules or affect current Green Card processing time. Its future depends on whether supporters can secure enough votes in Congress to move the bill forward.
